Parent resources: support learning at home

You do not need to be a teacher to help. Simple routines and the right questions make a real difference, and we will give you both.

Where this started

Caribbean Curriculum Compass began with one family helping a child with his homework at the kitchen table. We know what it is like to look at a worksheet and wonder how the topic is taught now. These resources are for that moment.

What we are building for parents

  • Homework help without the stress: routines that work, and what to do when you do not know the answer.
  • Questions that help children think: things to ask that build understanding, not just correct answers.
  • Reading and number games: short activities using everyday life, from market trips to bus rides.
  • A plain-language guide to your child's grade: what they are learning this year and how it fits with the Ministry's curriculum.
  • Understanding PEP: what each grade's assessments involve and how families can prepare without panic.

Tell us what to build first

We're building Caribbean Curriculum Compass with parents, teachers and students, a little at a time. Two minutes of your time helps us decide which grades, subjects and tools come next.
